Quartz Pool Finishes in Orlando, FL

A Durable, Colorful Middle Ground

A quartz finish is pool plaster with crushed quartz mixed in. The quartz makes the surface harder and more resistant to staining and etching than plain white plaster, and it comes in many colors, from light blues and grays to deep blues.

For many Orlando homeowners it is the sweet spot between classic marcite and a pebble finish: smooth to the touch, more color choice than white plaster, and more durable in Florida's heat.

Is Quartz Right for Your Pool?

Quartz is a good fit if you want a smooth surface, a colored finish and better wear than plaster. If you want the longest-lasting surface or a natural stone look, a pebble finish is the step up; we install both and can show you the difference side by side.

  • Smoother underfoot than a pebble finish
  • More color options than white marcite
  • Harder and more stain resistant than plain plaster
  • Works for residential and commercial pools

Our Quartz Resurfacing Process

Classic Marcite has resurfaced pools across Central Florida since 1988, with our own crews on every job.

  1. Drain and prepare. The old finish is removed or roughened so the new quartz layer bonds
  2. Repair. Cracks, loose tile and damaged areas are fixed first
  3. Apply. The quartz mix is troweled onto the walls, floor and steps in one day
  4. Fill and balance. The pool is refilled and the water chemistry is managed closely during the start-up

Quartz Finish Questions

How is quartz different from marcite?

Marcite is classic white plaster made with marble dust. Quartz finishes add crushed quartz, which is harder, so the surface resists etching and staining better and comes in more colors.

Will a colored quartz finish fade?

All cement-based finishes can lighten over time in sun and chlorine, and color can look uneven at first while it cures. Good water chemistry during start-up makes the biggest difference.

Can you match my tile and deck?

Yes. We bring finish samples to your estimate and help you choose a color that works with your waterline tile, coping and deck.
