The Fastest Way to Update a Pool
Waterline tile and coping frame the whole pool. New tile and coping, matched to a new interior finish, change the look of an older pool more than anything else, and they protect the edge of the pool where water and sun do the most damage.
Classic Marcite replaces waterline tile, step trim tile, spa tile and coping as part of a resurfacing or remodel, with our own crews from removal to grout.

Tile and Coping Options
We help you choose materials that work with your finish and deck:
- Glass mosaic tile for a bright, iridescent waterline
- Porcelain and ceramic tile in classic patterns
- Step trim tile so every step edge is easy to see
- Mosaics such as turtles and fish set into the floor
- Travertine, stone or paver coping to match the deck
How Replacement Works
- Lower the water. The pool is drained below the tile line, or fully if it is being resurfaced
- Remove. Old tile and coping are taken off and the bond beam is checked
- Set. New coping and tile are set level and true
- Grout and seal. Joints are grouted and the coping joint is sealed against water

Tile and Coping Questions
Can tile be replaced without resurfacing?
Yes, but if the finish is also near the end of its life, doing both together saves draining the pool twice and lets the colors match.
What is step trim tile?
A row of tile along the edge of each step and bench so swimmers can see where the step is. It is a simple safety upgrade during resurfacing.
Do you replace spa tile?
Yes. Spa tile and spillway tile are replaced to match the pool.
